"I LOVE TO PLAY IN CLAY" For a girl with a very short attention span, pottery has saved me (I can sculpt a dragon then turn around a throw a pretty little pot in the same day) - it keeps me sane - My daily therapy!
I fell in love with the clay between my fingers when I took a pottery class my junior year in high school, but that was many moons ago and as many of us know, life's road will take us in many different directions. I started my professional career in the United States Air Force and after my time in the service I worked in the Aerospace industry as a purchasing agent. I am a wife and a mother to two wonderful children that drive me nuts and keep things interesting!!!
A few years ago I found myself in a position, like many others have, searching to "rediscover" myself. Wondering what's next, what is missing, where does my happiness lie? I remembered the passion I once had for pottery some 20 years ago, so I went out and purchased a potters wheel, kiln, and some clay!!! Never mind the fact I had never actually thrown on a wheel or fired a kiln, I was dedicated and determined to teach myself how to do it, so for almost four years now I have learned a lot from trial and many errors...
In 2015 I found the courage to show my work at a local art festival and with such wonderful feedback from the community I am happy to say my passion is now my business
I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it. Take a look around my website and if you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact me.
